Spent a beautiful Fall weekend at the Woodstock County Inn. Carol is a welcoming and gracious hostess. We stayed in the Serenity Room, a good sized charming and comfortable room with views of the moutains and our own private porch. It also includes a big bathroom with deep soaking tub and more windows with views (LOVE this bathroom). Fantastic breakfast in the morning completed the great experience here. We will be back!
My wife and I have been coming to Woodstock Country Inn for years. It is the ideal place to retreat and be surrounded by beautiful nature. Carol always warmly welcomes us and also gives us our space to wind down. The breakfasts are tremendous. Also, the entire Inn is impeccably decorated, and very clean. The highlight for us is the pool--it is so delightful to swim in the salt water surrounded by trees. This place is truly magical.
We've been staying at the Woodstock Country Inn for several years and it never disappoints. The house is beautiful and tastefully decorated, rooms and beds are comfortable, and everything is spotlessly clean. The salt water pool is AMAZING. Carol is a gracious host and engaging conversationalist but is also happy to give you your space if that's more your speed. Breakfasts are made with all organic food and are delicious. Her place is only a 5 minute drive to town but you feel like you're in the middle of the woods because of the quiet and gorgeous mountain views.
Private suite and warm host made our stay memorable.On arrival we lucked out and were able to stay in a large loft style room with its own patio and an adjacent cozy reading area with a great of the mountains. Given the beautiful landscape and lovely setting the innkeeper knew what she was up to when she opened this place. It hit the mark of rustic luxury and made us regretful of only having planned a two night stay. Nice restaurant (Bear Cafe) is just down the road as is the lake.
